How to address the first and last mile challenges of data driven policy making is the focus of a forthcoming workshop focusing on mobility data for pandemics — within the context of the ESCAPE EU project. The team behind the EU-funded EpiPose and ESCAPE projects discuss the value of data-driven modelling in the context of COVID-19 pandemic preparedness and their vision for a science-based blueprint to aid pandemic response.

The European project ESCAPE had its official kick-off on January 12th and 13th 2023, together with an exchange meeting on pandemic preparedness.  As coördinator of the project, Hasselt University hosted the two-day event and welcomed 7 partners from 7 European countries.
